Big Dog Ranch Rescue Alabama

Big Dog Ranch Rescue, the largest cage-free no-kill dog rescue organization in the United States, opened its Southeast regional facility in Shorter, Alabama in October 2022. Located on a 100-acre campus at 2557 Cross Keys Rd, the nonprofit rescues, rehabilitates, and finds adoptive homes for neglected and abused dogs from eight Southern states. The facility expects to save approximately 5,000 dogs annually through medical care, rehabilitation, and both local and national adoption placement.
