Alaskan Sled Dog & Racing Association

The Alaskan Sled Dog & Racing Association, founded in 1949, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the cultural heritage of Alaskan dog mushing through organizing internationally recognized sled dog races from January through February, including the prestigious Fur Rendezvous Open World Championship. Based in Anchorage at 4800 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, ASDRA maintains the 20-mile Tozier Track trail and operates a strong junior mushing program for youth ages 4-17, while also managing trail facilities at Far North Bicentennial Park and actively engaging the community through racing events, educational programs, and recreational opportunities for mushers and the public.
