Dog off-leash park

San Luis Obispo has two primary off-leash dog parks serving the community. Laguna Lake Dog Park, operated by the City of San Luis Obispo and located at 504 Madonna Rd, features a 3-acre fully-fenced space with separate sections for large and small dogs, agility equipment, water stations, double-gated entry, and surrounding amenities including walking trails and a disc golf course. El Chorro Dog Park, recognized as the first fenced off-leash park in San Luis Obispo County, is maintained by SLO-4-PUPs, a volunteer-run project committee of SLOPOST (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit), and offers two fully-fenced areas with separate sections for different dog sizes, water stations, and shade, located within El Chorro Regional Park on Highway 1 between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay.
