Twin Lakes Open Space, located in Boulder’s Gunbarrel neighborhood, is a Boulder County park featuring two scenic lakes surrounded by a 1.5-mile loop trail offering fishing, hiking, jogging, and dog walking opportunities. Originally created for agricultural water storage and operated by the Boulder and Left Hand Ditch Company since 1910, the open space now serves as a community retreat and wetland wildlife haven, with designated on-leash and off-leash dog areas, mountain views, and abundant wildlife including bald eagles, herons, and waterfowl.
