Durango Off Leash Dog Park

The Durango Off-Leash Dog Park, located at the base of Smelter Mountain just west of Highway 160 West and Highway 550 in downtown Durango, Colorado, is a 6-square-mile designated off-leash recreation area operated by the City of Durango. The park provides expansive natural open space where dogs can exercise and socialize under voice control, with direct access to the Animas River and nearby trails for hiking and water activities. Dogs must be under voice command and within sight of their owners at all times, and users are required to clean up after their pets and follow all posted regulations to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for the community.
