East Haddam Dog Park

The East Haddam Dog Park, located at 291 East Haddam-Colchester Turnpike in Moodus adjacent to East Haddam Town Beach, is an officially designated dog park featuring a fully fenced area with separate sections for large and small dogs. The park provides a safe off-leash environment with amenities including a double-gated entrance, seating areas for owners, and free parking. Originally conceived in 2007 by resident Sue Reiter and officially opened in October 2010, the park serves as a popular gathering place for the local dog-owning community, fostering connections among neighbors while providing dogs with a secure space to exercise and socialize.
