Lake Mohegan Recreational Area

Lake Mohegan Recreational Area is a 172-acre public park in Fairfield, Connecticut offering year-round recreational activities including swimming, hiking, fishing, and picnicking. The area was established by the Town of Fairfield from 1967 through 1985 through acquisition of land parcels, utilizing Town funds, state grants, and donations from General Electric Company. The park features a supervised freshwater beach open seasonally, hiking trails with varying difficulty levels, and a sprinkler park for children, managed by the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Commission.
