Newtown Park & Bark

Newtown Park & Bark is a two-acre off-leash dog park located at 21 Old Farm Road in Newtown, CT, established in 2009 by a volunteer group of local dog lovers dedicated to providing a safe recreational space for the community’s dogs. The park features separate play areas for large and small dogs, agility equipment, seasonal water features, shade structures, and benches, operating daily from sunrise to sundown. Supported by community donations, major fundraising events like Strutt Your Mutt and Howl-O-Ween, and a significant legacy gift in 2012, the park also received honors as a beneficiary for donations made in memory of Sandy Hook victim Olivia Rose Engel.
