Mill River Bark Park

Mill River Bark Park is an off-leash dog park located at 1050 Washington Boulevard in downtown Stamford, Connecticut, within the larger Mill River Park complex. Operated by the Mill River Park Collaborative, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the bark park features a fully fenced area with accessible pathways, river rock flooring, and various amenities for dogs of all sizes, including obstacles for mental stimulation and designated seating for owners. Originally launched as a pop-up park in 2019, the dog park has become a permanent community fixture that serves downtown residents who lack nearby open space for their pets, and has undergone several improvements through collaborative fundraising efforts by the park and local dog owners.
