Can-Do Playground

The 27,000 square foot Can-Do Playground, located in Alapocas Run State Park at 4361 Weldin Road, is Delaware’s first Boundless Playground™, opened in 2007. Designed to be fully accessible to children of all abilities regardless of physical, mental, and sensory disabilities, the playground was created through a partnership between six Wilmington-area Rotary Clubs, the state Division of Parks and Recreation, and the National Center for Boundless Playgrounds. The facility features adaptive swings, accessible play surfaces, ramps, a large sandpit, sensory exploration stations, and a storybook trail, providing a free and inclusive community space where all children can play together.
