Walter Pierce Dog Park

Walter Pierce Park Dog Park, established in 2004, was Washington, DC’s first official dog park and remains a premier destination for canine recreation in the Adams Morgan neighborhood. Located at 2630 Adams Mill Road NW, the fenced facility features separate play sections for different play styles, mature shade trees, and a sand/gravel surface designed to be gentler on dogs’ paws. The park is managed by the Friends of Walter Pierce Park, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the space through advocacy and maintenance, and also offers additional community amenities including a soccer field, basketball court, and children’s playground.
