John Gorrie Dog Park of Riverside Park

John Gorrie Dog Park at Riverside Park is a public dog park located at the northwest corner of Riverside Park in Jacksonville, Florida, adjacent to College Street. Opened in 2017, the park provides dedicated off-leash areas for both small and large dog breeds, complete with shaded seating for owners, water stations, and cleanup facilities. The park was developed through collaboration between community members, Riverside Avondale Preservation, the Haskell Company, and local government agencies to create a recreational space for the Riverside neighborhood’s pet community.
