Ala Wai Dog Park

Ala Wai Dog Park is a fenced off-leash dog park located at 2444 Hihiwai Street in Honolulu, Hawaii, adjacent to Ala Wai Elementary School near the Ala Wai Canal. Opened in September 2014, the park was built through a public-private partnership between the City and County of Honolulu and the nonprofit Ala Wai K-9 Playground Association following nearly a decade of planning and fundraising. The approximately 15,000-square-foot facility features separate fenced areas for large and small dogs, with amenities including benches, water stations, shade, and a double-gated entrance for security, while remaining maintained and monitored by dedicated volunteers.
