Jackson Bark

Jackson Bark is a community dog park located at 6000 S. Lake Shore Drive in Chicago’s Jackson Park neighborhood on the South Side. Opened in 2014 and converted from abandoned basketball courts, it is the largest fully enclosed dog park in Chicago and features over 50 agility obstacles, water amenities, and separate sections for dogs of different sizes. The park was developed through community-led efforts with volunteer labor and private donations, and continues to serve as a gathering space for South Side dog owners while remaining actively involved in neighborhood improvement initiatives.
