The West Loop 569 Dog Friendly Area

The West Loop 569 Bark Park has provided Chicago’s dogs with an urban oasis since 2014, serving as a Chicago Park District Dog Friendly Area located on the north side of W. Monroe Street between Throop and Loomis. The park features tree-shaded walkways, lush turf, and seated gathering areas where dogs can socialize off-leash, with amenities including splash pools, tennis balls, and free poop bags stocked by community partner West Loop Vet. Operated as a 100% donation-funded facility, the park actively engages the community through events like breed-specific meetups, annual puppy prom, and Halloween costume parties.
