Shawnee Mission Park Dog Off-Leash Area

Shawnee Mission Park Dog Off-Leash Area is a 44-acre off-leash recreation space operated by Johnson County Parks and Recreation (JCPRD) in Shawnee, Kansas. Located west of the 87th and Ridgeview entrance along John Barkley Drive, the area features paved trails to the lake, wood chip and natural surface trails through grassland and wooded areas, a dog swim area, and amenities including paved parking and restrooms. The off-leash area is open year-round during regular park hours except for scheduled maintenance closures on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
