K-9 Rooster Dog Park

Located at 2127 N. Meridian Avenue in northwest Wichita, K-9 Rooster Dog Park is a public off-leash dog park spanning over two acres with separate fenced areas for small and large dogs. The park was renamed in June 2017 to honor K-9 Rooster, a Wichita Police Department canine who served faithfully for five years before being killed in the line of duty in March 2017, serving as a lasting tribute to his bravery and service. The city-managed facility features amenities including shaded benches, drinking fountains for both humans and dogs, a dog wash station, waste disposal stations, walking trails, and a splash pad for hot summer days.
