Wisner Tract Park

Wisner Tract Park is a 100-acre natural space within New Orleans City Park, located between Harrison Avenue and Wisner Boulevard. Originally a golf course that was damaged during Hurricane Katrina, the site has since been reclaimed by natural vegetation and designated for passive recreation, offering trails for birding, hiking, walking, and fishing through diverse habitats including bottomland hardwood forest, cypress swamps, and lagoons. The park serves the community as a nature-based refuge featuring the Grow Dat Youth Farm, a disc golf course, and cross-country running paths, while supporting a variety of wildlife with over 184 bird species recorded at the site.
