Nature’s Kennel Sled Dog Racing and Adventures

Nature’s Kennel Sled Dog Racing and Adventures is Michigan’s premier dog sledding destination located in McMillan in the Eastern Upper Peninsula, established in 1992 and owned by Ed and Tasha Stielstra. The kennel offers winter dog sledding adventures including half-day, full-day, and overnight trips where guests can learn to drive their own sled dog teams or ride along with experienced guides, with some of the trained sled dogs having competed in prestigious races like the Iditarod. In addition to sledding adventures, Nature’s Kennel runs a retired sled dog adoption program and operates through partnerships with the Michigan State Alumni Association for multi-day Upper Peninsula adventures.
