Minnehaha Off Leash Area
About
Minnehaha Off-Leash Area is a dog park operated by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, located at 5399 Minnehaha Park Drive South on the banks of the Mississippi River. The 6.58-acre facility offers wooded trails, fenced play zones, and water access for dogs to socialize and exercise off-leash with a valid permit. The park has served the community for over 30 years but is scheduled to close its off-leash operations by December 31, 2026, following a Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board decision due to the area being identified as a Native American burial site.
