Penn Valley Off Leash Dog Park

Penn Valley Off Leash Dog Park, Kansas City’s first off-leash dog area, opened in April 2004 and offers 2.7 acres of fenced space for dogs to play freely, featuring two double-gated entries and a separate 1.8-acre area designated for small, elderly, or handicapped dogs. The park is operated by Kansas City Parks & Recreation and includes amenities such as water fountains for both dogs and humans. The Dogpark Improvement Group (DIG) is a volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds and supporting improvements to the park.
