Winslow State Park
About
Winslow State Park is a public recreation area located on the northwest slope of Mount Kearsarge in Wilmot, New Hampshire. The park became a state park in 1935 and features a picnic area on an 1,820-foot plateau with views of the White Mountains to the north, along with hiking trails including the 1.1-mile Winslow Trail and the 1.7-mile Barlow Trail leading to the summit. The park is named after a 19th-century hotel, Winslow House, which was named for Admiral John Winslow, the Civil War commander of USS Kearsarge, with only a cellar hole remaining from the historic hotel.
