About
Rough Rider State Park is a North Dakota state park located along the Little Missouri River about two miles south of Medora in the heart of the Badlands. The park offers camping, horse camping, canoeing, hiking, biking, and serves as the launch point for the Maah Daah Hey Trail system. As one of North Dakota’s designated horse parks, it features 66 corrals and is designed to accommodate equestrian visitors, with all fees generated supporting trail maintenance.
