Scalloptown Park
About
Scalloptown Park is a public waterfront park located in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, situated along Greenwich Cove and Rocky Hollow Road. The park offers walking trails, picnic areas, playgrounds, and dog-friendly spaces, providing recreational opportunities for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The area’s name derives from its historic significance as a major scallop-harvesting location in Greenwich Bay during Rhode Island’s shell-fishing era, and the present-day park was built over a former town landfill that was capped and converted into this community recreational space.
