James Island County Park – Dog Park

James Island County Park’s dog park offers an expansive off-leash space featuring large grassy fields, sandy beaches, and a lake for swimming, along with separate areas for small dogs, waste stations, and cleaning facilities. Located at 871 Riverland Drive in Charleston, the park charges a nominal $2 entry fee and is operated by Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission as part of the 643-acre James Island County Park. Beyond the dog park, the facility features miles of paved trails, campgrounds, an adventure center, and seasonal attractions including a popular Holiday Festival of Lights that draws visitors throughout the region.
