John McCants Veterans Park

John McCants Veterans Park is a public recreational facility in Goose Creek, South Carolina, located at 355 Anita Drive. The park honors the legacy of John McCants, a decorated veteran who served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars and spent 24 years on the Goose Creek City Council. The park features a playground, walking trails, dog park, multi-purpose lawn, Veterans Honor Plaza, and a pavilion, and opened on Veterans Day in 2021. The City of Goose Creek Recreation Department manages the park as part of its commitment to creating community-centered spaces, including a recent community food forest project designed to address food insecurity and foster resident connections.
