Shelby Dog Park

Shelby Dog Park, located behind the Shelby Park Community Center at Shelby Avenue and S. 20th Street in Nashville, TN, opened in 2004 as the first Metro dog park in the city. The fully fenced, off-leash facility provides a spacious area where dogs of all sizes can play and exercise, complete with amenities including water fountains, seating areas, shade, and a double-gated entrance for safety. The park’s early success demonstrated the community’s strong demand for dog-friendly recreational spaces, inspiring the development of additional dog parks throughout Nashville.
