Camp Barkeley Dog Park

Camp Barkeley Dog Park is an off-leash dog park located at 610 E South 11th Street in Abilene, Texas, offering separate fenced areas for dogs over 30 pounds and under 30 pounds. Originally established in 2010 near the Abilene Zoo with funding raised by Abilene citizens and assistance from the City of Abilene, the park relocated to its current location in November 2024 due to construction of an athletic complex at the original Nelson Park site. The facility features shaded pavilions, benches, water fountains, rinse stations, and poop bag dispensers, providing a safe, free community space for dogs to socialize and exercise.
