Discovery Green Dog Run

Discovery Green Dog Run, established in 2008, is located in downtown Houston within the Discovery Green urban park near the intersection of Lamar Street and The White Promenade. The facility features two separately fenced dog run areas—the Kinder Large Dog Run for dogs over 15 inches tall and the Harriet and Joe Foster Small Dog Run for smaller breeds—both with crushed gravel surfaces, water fountains, and seating for owners. As part of the broader 12-acre Discovery Green park managed by Discovery Green Conservancy in partnership with the City of Houston, the dog runs serve the community by providing a safe, accessible space for dogs to socialize and exercise in a downtown setting.
