Kill Kare State Park
About
Kill Kare State Park is a 17-acre day-use park located in Saint Albans Town, Vermont on Lake Champlain, administered by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation as part of the state park system. Named after a boys’ summer camp that operated from 1912 to 1966, the park features swimming, boating, kayak and canoe rentals, picnic areas, and serves as the mainland ferry hub for Burton Island State Park. The park includes the historic Rocky Point House, originally built in the 1870s as a lakeside resort hotel and fully renovated in 2010 in partnership with the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation, which now operates as a museum dedicated to the site’s rich history.
