About

Dog Mountain, Home of Stephen Huneck Gallery, is a nonprofit set on 150 acres of mountaintop in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. The property features the Stephen Huneck Gallery, housed in a renovated farmhouse showcasing the folk artist’s original woodcuts, prints, carvings, and children’s books, along with the world-famous Dog Chapel—a spiritual destination for dog lovers to celebrate their bond with their pets. The grounds offer 150 acres of scenic hiking trails, dog ponds, and interactive art installations throughout the landscape, welcoming visitors and their dogs year-round with optional leashes, and are managed by the nonprofit Friends of Dog Mountain established in 2015 to preserve the artistic legacy and vision of Stephen and Gwen Huneck.
