Muddy Brook Wetland Reserve

Muddy Brook Wetland Reserve is a 48.8-acre conservation area managed by the Winooski Valley Park District along Van Sicklen Road in South Burlington that straddles the Muddy Brook and includes property in both South Burlington and Williston. The reserve features a diverse mosaic of habitats including open fields, wetlands, shrublands, and riparian forest, supporting nearly 100 bird species and numerous mammals, with a loop trail that provides access to fishing, picnic areas, and opportunities for nature observation and passive recreation.
