Barker Field

Barker Field Dog Park, located at 1300 Blanton Avenue in Byrd Park in downtown Richmond, VA, is an off-leash dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs and amenities including water fountains, shaded seating, waste facilities, and a double-gated entrance. The park is managed by Friends of Barker Field, a volunteer nonprofit organization that maintains dog-friendly features while the Richmond City Government handles general grounds maintenance. As the city’s oldest dog park, Barker Field has become a beloved community hub where dog owners gather for socialization and recreation.
