About

Hal & Berni Hanson Park Wooded Dog Park Off-Leash Area is a designated off-leash area within the larger 257-acre Hal & Berni Hanson Regional Park, located in Aldie, Virginia between the Brambleton and Willowsford communities. The park was developed as a comprehensive recreational facility featuring a naturally wooded dog park designed with agility training elements and well-maintained trails, offering dogs the ability to exercise and socialize freely in a natural forest setting with plenty of shaded space and amenities. Part of Loudoun County’s park system, the facility honors the legacy of Haldore “Hal” Hanson, a writer and U.S. State Department official whose family partnered with the county to preserve the land exclusively for public park use.
