About

Japanese Gulch Dog Park Trailhead is a 144-acre urban forest conservation area located in northeast Mukilteo, Washington, featuring the Tails to Trails Dog Park with two fenced off-leash areas and miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, dog walking, and trail running. Owned by the City of Mukilteo, the area has a rich history as the former site of the Mukilteo Lumber Company’s housing for millworkers and their families, many of whom were Japanese. The park provides habitat for diverse wildlife including pileated woodpeckers, great blue herons, and black-tailed deer, with trail connections linking the dog park to the 76th Street Trailhead and the Mukilteo Waterfront.
