Cato Dog Park

Cato Dog Park is an official public dog park located at 200 Baker Lane in Charleston, West Virginia, operated by Charleston Parks and Recreation. The park features play equipment, a gazebo, water station, and was specifically designed for dogs to socialize, play, and enjoy the outdoors in a safe, welcoming environment. Emma’s Place, the dog park within Cato Park, was dedicated in June 2021 in honor of fallen Charleston Police Officer Cassie Johnson and her chocolate Labrador Emma, serving as both a recreational space for the community and a tribute to her legacy of animal welfare advocacy.
