Highway Q Dog Exercise Area

The Highway Q Dog Exercise Area, also known as the MRD Dog Exercise Area, is a three-acre off-leash dog park located at 5209 County Highway Q in Waunakee, Wisconsin, just south of County Highway K near Middleton. The facility, situated on a 146-acre Metropolitan Refuse District property, offers a fenced agility course, shade shelters, picnic tables, portable restrooms, dog waste disposal bags, mowed trails, and a twenty-car parking lot. Park use requires a permit available for daily or annual purchase at the City Clerk’s Office or via self-registration at the park, and the facility is open year-round from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily as part of the Dane County cooperative dog park program serving multiple municipalities.
