MRD Dog Exercise Area

The MRD Dog Exercise Area is a three-acre off-leash dog park located at 5200 County Road Q in Waunakee, Wisconsin, part of the 146-acre Metropolitan Refuse District (MRD) property. The facility provides a fully fenced, safe environment for dogs of all sizes to socialize and exercise, featuring amenities including a fenced agility course, shade shelter, picnic tables, mowed trails, portable restrooms, and dog waste disposal bags. A permit is required for park use and can be purchased daily or annually; permits are valid at all participating Dane County Parks, City of Middleton, City of Sun Prairie, and Village of Waunakee locations. The park is open year-round from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
