Yahara Heights Dog Park
About
Yahara Heights Dog Park is a 20-acre off-leash dog exercise area located within the 141-acre Yahara Heights County Park in Waunakee, Wisconsin. The park features a fenced dog exercise space with water access through a pond and dock, hiking trails, and is adjacent to Cherokee Marsh, the largest remaining wetland in Dane County. The park serves the Waunakee community as a recreational destination where dogs can play, swim, and explore while their owners enjoy picnic areas and scenic views of the surrounding natural habitat that supports wildlife preservation and water conservation for Lake Mendota’s watershed.
