Optimist Park

Optimist Park is a 27.3-acre public park located at 505 S Spruce Street in Laramie, Wyoming, operated by the City of Laramie. The park features access to the Laramie River and a 5.75-mile paved green belt trail, along with amenities including playgrounds, basketball courts, picnic shelters, and one of Laramie’s two off-leash dog parks with multiple gated areas for dogs of various sizes. The park has undergone recent community improvements, including the planting of apple trees in spring 2024 and scheduled playground equipment replacement, making it a popular destination for families, hikers, runners, and dog owners.
